This morning, the Moroccan capital Rabat hosted a high-level economic meeting that brought together the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the British Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, as part of a “business breakfast” aimed at exploring ways to strengthen economic partnership between the two kingdoms.
The gathering, which was attended by a select group of officials and business leaders from both sides, provided an opportunity to discuss prospects for cooperation in key and strategic sectors such as infrastructure, water resources, energy, healthcare, agriculture, and education. Discussions focused on creating joint investment opportunities and supporting initiatives that aim to establish stronger and more effective economic ties.
This event comes within the framework of a shared political will on both sides to deepen their economic integration and transform bilateral relations into a genuine platform for sustainable development—benefiting both nations and reinforcing Morocco’s position as a regional hub attractive to international investors.
The meeting also reflected the commitment of both Morocco and the United Kingdom to developing a model of partnership based on trust and synergy, anchored in shared interests and forward-looking vision, especially in light of today’s global challenges and emerging opportunities that call for enhanced cooperation and economic openness.
