According to a report from the Center for Economic Foundations specializing in international trade, Algeria ranks fourth among Arab countries in terms of exports to Israel, following the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Egypt. The report, issued by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as published by I24, reveals that trade exchanges between Algeria and Israel, which began in 2017, have exceeded $30 million in value.

Figures show that in 2017, Algeria exported products worth $30.5 million to Israel, with notable shipments of hydrogen as part of its energy exports. Algeria’s exports to Israel continued to rise year after year, reaching $9.77 million in 2020, then $14.9 million in 2021, with another increase in 2022 exceeding $21 million.

Despite Algeria’s strong criticism of Morocco for normalizing relations with Israel in 2021, Algerian exports to Israel continued to grow, while Moroccan exports saw a significant decline, dropping from over $64 million in 2018 to $10.2 million in 2020.

Algerian exports to Israel include organic chemicals and rare metal compounds, while Moroccan exports are primarily agricultural products such as vegetables and fruits.
