Morocco Calls for Full Investigation into the Death of a Moroccan Citizen in Bologna

Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates has announced that it is following with deep concern the circumstances surrounding the death of a Moroccan citizen in the Italian city of Bologna.
In an official statement, the Ministry said that the Moroccan authorities have formally requested the competent Italian authorities to launch a prompt and comprehensive investigation in order to establish the full facts surrounding the incident and provide all necessary clarifications regarding the tragic death.
The Kingdom has also stressed the importance of determining responsibility and ensuring the full implementation of all applicable legal procedures and measures, with the aim of guaranteeing that justice is served.
The Ministry reaffirmed that the Moroccan authorities will continue to monitor the case closely as part of their ongoing commitment to protecting the rights and interests of Moroccans living abroad.
To this end, firm instructions have been issued to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the relevant Consulate General in Italy to closely follow developments in the case and coordinate with the Italian authorities until all the circumstances surrounding the death have been fully clarified.
