Chinese Ambassador to Rabat presents conclusions of the Communist Party plenary session… Strategic cooperation between the two countries at the heart of discussions

A press conference was held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Chinese Embassy in Rabat, focusing on the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Many national and international journalists attended the meeting, which centered on bilateral cooperation issues and the commitment of Morocco and China to strengthen their relations for mutual development and shared benefits.

During her intervention, Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, Yu JinSong, emphasized that Morocco has established itself as a successful model of modern strategic partnerships, relying on a long-standing heritage of mutual understanding and cultural closeness between the two peoples.

She noted that relations between Beijing and Rabat have gone beyond the bilateral framework to include areas such as sustainable development, green modernization, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy, in full alignment with the priorities of both nations.

Ambassador Yu then presented the outcomes of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, explaining that it represents a crucial stage in China’s national development process, marked by the preparation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). This plan is based on three core principles: policy continuity, consolidation of achievements, and synergy of national efforts, to support socialist modernization and ensure long-term economic and social stability.

The Ambassador highlighted that China achieved significant progress during the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, with a GDP exceeding 130 trillion yuan, contributing approximately 30% to global growth. She added that the next phase will focus on scientific and technological innovation, digital economy development, and promoting a “green and harmonious China”, balancing prosperity with sustainability.

On the international front, Ambassador Yu affirmed that China will continue its policy of increased openness, support for multilateral trade, and expansion of strategic partnerships under the “Belt and Road Initiative.” She also mentioned China’s decision to eliminate tariffs on imports from 53 African countries, including Morocco, as a tangible step to strengthen South-South cooperation and promote shared development.

Ambassador Yu further emphasized that common prosperity remains at the core of China’s modernization, highlighting Beijing’s commitment to supporting policies in education, healthcare, social equity, and reducing regional disparities. She stressed the central role of the Communist Party of China as the guarantor of reform continuity and modernization success, both domestically and internationally.

Regarding Sino-Moroccan relations, the Ambassador recalled that they are based on a centuries-old friendship, significantly strengthened over the past decade, particularly since the visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to China in 2016, which marked the beginning of a new era of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

She highlighted that this cooperation spans key sectors such as renewable energy, digital transformation, infrastructure, and green technology, making Morocco the second-largest global destination for Chinese investments in this field.

In conclusion, Ambassador Yu JinSong expressed her confidence that Sino-Moroccan relations are moving toward promising horizons, driven by the alignment of development priorities between the two nations. She mentioned Morocco’s preparation for the 2030 FIFA World Cup and the implementation of the “Digital Morocco” strategy, while reaffirming China’s commitment to supporting joint initiatives in women’s empowerment, sustainable development, and cultural cooperation, aiming to build a community of shared future for humanity and contribute to global peace and prosperity.
