Morocco and Paraguay reaffirmed on Wednesday in Rabat their shared commitment to strengthening political dialogue and deepening bilateral cooperation in a spirit of friendship, trust, and ongoing consultation.

During their meeting, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, and Paraguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, welcomed the positive momentum marking relations between the two countries since the opening of their respective embassies in Rabat and Asunción.
The two officials also praised the fluid and regular political dialogue established between the two capitals, illustrated by the Second Political Consultations Meeting held in Rabat in June 2025, which helped define the main orientations of the partnership for the coming years.
They further emphasized their determination to maintain a permanent framework for political consultation, covering the main areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and to continue coordination between their respective departments on matters of common interest.
The ministers highlighted the convergence of their positions on numerous international issues, including the promotion of multilateralism, conflict prevention, South-South cooperation, and sustainable development.
Mr. Bourita praised the diplomatic vision of President Santiago Peña, focused on stability, transparency, and regional cooperation, while Ramírez Lezcano expressed his country’s appreciation for Morocco’s constructive role in strengthening interregional dialogue between Africa and Latin America.
Both parties agreed to further intensify institutional and parliamentary exchanges and to encourage the establishment of joint mechanisms for monitoring and sectoral cooperation, reflecting the maturity of a political partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and South-South solidarity.
