King Mohammed VI Awards Former Chinese Ambassador Li Changlin the Alaouite Order of Grand Officer

His Majesty King Mohammed VI has awarded Li Changlin, the former Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Morocco, the Alaouite Order of Grand Officer, in recognition of his outstanding services to the Kingdom and his significant contribution to strengthening the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between Morocco and China.
According to the official decoration certificate issued by the Kingdom of Morocco, the prestigious royal honor acknowledges the former ambassador’s efforts throughout his diplomatic mission in Rabat, during which he played a key role in deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing relations between the two countries across multiple fields.
The Royal Decree, dated 18 Shawwal 1447 AH, corresponding to April 7, 2026, confers upon Li Changlin the Alaouite Order of Grand Officer, one of Morocco’s highest state decorations. The distinction reflects the high esteem in which he is held by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and serves as recognition of his distinguished diplomatic service.
The decoration is accompanied by an official English translation stating that the honor is bestowed “as a token of the appreciation and esteem he enjoys with Our Majesty,” while extending wishes for his continued prosperity and happiness.
This royal distinction comes amid the remarkable momentum in Morocco–China relations, which have witnessed sustained growth in recent years through expanded political, economic, industrial, and cultural cooperation under the strategic partnership fostered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Chinese leadership.
