The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Congolese counterpart, Constant Serge Bounda, reaffirmed their determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation and elevate the partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Congo into a successful model of African cooperation.
The position was expressed during talks held on Tuesday in Rabat, where the two ministers praised the strong ties of friendship and mutual esteem between Mohammed VI and Denis Sassou-Nguesso, stressing that these relations provide a solid foundation for advancing bilateral ties across various strategic sectors.
Both sides also welcomed the remarkable level reached in cooperation between Morocco and the Republic of Congo, while emphasizing the need to inject fresh momentum into the partnership in a way that strengthens African integration and opens broader prospects for economic, political, and joint development cooperation.
In this context, the two ministers agreed to hold the next session of the Moroccan-Congolese Joint Commission in the coming months, with the aim of broadening and diversifying areas of bilateral cooperation, serving the interests of both countries, and consolidating the Moroccan-Congolese partnership as a model of South-South cooperation within the African continent.
