The Trophée de l’Africanité Foundation has announced the awarding of the African Honorary Doctorate to Mr. Abderrahmane Sennaghi, President of the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation, on the occasion of the celebration of the 67th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Morocco.
This honor reflects recognition of Mr. Sennaghi’s significant contributions to promoting dialogue between peoples and highlighting sports as a universal language that fosters understanding and peace.
This well-deserved distinction crowns a rich career during which Mr. Sennaghi worked to develop Wushu in Morocco and transform it into a cultural bridge connecting the Kingdom with China and the African continent.
Under his leadership, Moroccan Wushu has emerged as a model of openness and cooperation, promoting the values of discipline, respect, and friendship that bring people together and strengthen bonds between nations.
Mr. Sennaghi’s efforts are also distinguished by his ongoing support for youth training, his encouragement of sports exchanges between Morocco and China, and his prominent role in expanding the presence of Wushu across Africa.
He has made this sport a platform for dialogue and cultural rapprochement, in line with the strategic partnership between Morocco and China and with Africa’s modern and outward-looking vision.
On this occasion, the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation is preparing to hold an official ceremony on Sunday, November 30, to present the honorary doctorate to its president, celebrating an exceptional athletic and humanitarian journey.
