The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Rabat celebrated the 95th anniversary of the unification of the Kingdom in an official and fraternal atmosphere that reflected the depth of historical ties between Riyadh and Rabat.

On this occasion, the Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, emphasized that bilateral relations between the two countries “enjoy solid strength and continuous coordination at the highest political and economic levels.”

In a press statement on the sidelines of the celebration, the ambassador affirmed that the relations between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, form a solid foundation for the path of bilateral cooperation. He stressed that “Morocco’s causes are Saudi Arabia’s causes, and Saudi Arabia’s causes are Morocco’s causes, in a practical embodiment of unity in positions and visions.”

On the economic front, the ambassador noted that trade exchanges between the two countries reached $1.4 billion in 2024, considering this figure “below the ambitions of the strategic partnership.” He pointed out that Saudi investments in Morocco are estimated at more than $8 billion, through major projects in energy, health, tourism, and agriculture, in addition to the activity of around 350 Saudi companies in various sectors.

The ambassador also revealed preparations for signing a new agreement this year to encourage and protect investments, with the participation of the Saudi Minister of Investment. He further announced that a Saudi-Moroccan investment forum will be organized in the coming months, “opening wider horizons for businessmen and investors from both sides.”

The ambassador concluded his remarks by stressing that Saudi–Moroccan relations “are not merely traditional diplomatic ties, but rather deeply rooted fraternal bonds based on a shared history, ongoing communication, and a strong will to continue building toward a more prosperous shared future.”
