In a strong indication of the deep historical ties between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Morocco, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office affirmed via its official page on the “X” platform that the bonds of friendship and cooperation—stretching back over eight centuries—continue to renew and flourish across various fields.

The Foreign Office highlighted that the ongoing strategic dialogue between London and Rabat now represents a genuine platform for exploring new prospects for economic and trade partnership, particularly for British companies seeking to expand into the growing Moroccan market.

Among the ambitious projects emerging from this close cooperation, the ministry pointed to the UK–Morocco partnership aimed at jointly preparing for Morocco’s hosting of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal. This opens the door to high-quality investments and modern infrastructure that meet the demands of this global event.

The British Foreign Office emphasized that the solid foundation underpinning this bilateral relationship is mutual respect and a shared desire to build a prosperous future based on the values of cooperation and growth, in the context of the transformations shaping the 21st-century world.
