RAM presents its new strategic vision to Tunisian operators

The national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) presented its new strategic vision in Tunis, aiming to strengthen its fleet and international network by 2037.

During a ceremony held on Saturday evening, attended by tourism professionals, partner travel agencies, and clients in Tunisia, RAM outlined the key points of this vision, targeting a fleet of 200 aircraft and a network of 143 destinations by opening medium and long-haul routes on all four continents.

In perfect harmony with the 2024-2037 vision, the national carrier also launched a new brand platform with a digital focus through the new hashtag #DREAMAFRICA #MEETMOROCCO, reaffirming its commitment and belief in the potential of the African continent.

This strategy reflects RAM’s ambition to establish itself as a leader on the continent and promote Morocco and Africa.

In the presence of the Head of Animation for the Maghreb, Middle East & Asia Markets, Hassan Benbrahim, and the staff of RAM’s Regional Representation in Tunisia, along with over 200 guests, RAM’s Regional Representative in Tunisia, Mohammed Issam Mosseddaq, emphasized that this vision offers significant opportunities for partners in the Tunisian market for business growth and a win-win partnership with RAM.

He continued, stating that the national airline supports the development of the entire African continent with very promising growth prospects for all the company’s markets, including new ones.

Regarding the customer experience, Mr. Mosseddaq explained that the airline offers highly optimal connections to/from Tunis via its strategic hub in Casablanca. He added that passengers traveling internationally with RAM with a transit time of more than 8 hours will systematically benefit from assistance, similar to passengers traveling between Tunis and the Iberian Peninsula and vice versa.

In line with this new vision, the national airline has set impressive objectives with a target capacity of 38.6 million seats, traffic of 31.6 million passengers, achieving a 82% occupancy rate.

Royal Air Maroc connects Casablanca to Tunis with two daily flights, departing from Casablanca at 08:00 and 14:00, and from Tunis at 12:00 and 18:00, allowing connections to the company’s domestic, African, American, and Iberian Peninsula networks.

For the period of November and December 2023, the flight schedule between Tunis and Casablanca remained stable, with flights operated by B737-800 with a capacity of 159 seats, including 12 Business Class seats and 147 Economy Class seats.

With a fleet of over 50 aircraft and a network of more than 80 destinations, RAM is a member of the Oneworld alliance, comprising 13 airlines committed to providing the highest level of services and amenities to nearly 1,000 destinations in 170 countries.

In addition to this ceremony, awards were presented to the network of partner sellers of Royal Air Maroc in Tunisia, recognizing their commercial performance for the fiscal year 2022-23.

The event was attended by a large number of partners, reflecting RAM’s interest in the Tunisian market, which continues to gain importance commercially.
