Breaking: Morocco and Spain Agree on the Immediate Return of Individuals Who Entered the Occupied City of Ceuta Without Regularizing Their Status

The Kingdom of Morocco and Spain have agreed to expedite the procedures for the return of individuals who entered the occupied city of Ceuta irregularly without regularizing their legal status, as part of the close security coordination between the two countries to address the challenges of irregular migration.
The agreement comes as the occupied city of Ceuta has once again become the focus of attention following a surge in irregular border-crossing attempts. The situation has prompted the Spanish authorities to strengthen coordination with Morocco in order to contain migratory pressure and facilitate the return of migrants in accordance with the legal mechanisms governing cooperation between the two countries.
This coordination underscores Morocco’s continued role as a key strategic partner for Spain and the European Union in managing migration issues.
