The Croatian Embassy in Rabat celebrated Croatia’s National Day in a diplomatic atmosphere attended by several officials and distinguished guests. On the occasion, Croatia’s Ambassador to Morocco, Jasna Mileta, expressed her pride in commemorating the national event for the ninth time since her appointment in Rabat, stressing that her years in the Kingdom have represented a rich human and professional experience.

In a statement to “Aldar” news website, the Croatian diplomat said she feels deeply honored to represent her country in Morocco, describing herself as “fortunate” to have experienced the warmth of the Moroccan people and the simplicity of everyday life in the country. She noted that these values have contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between Rabat and Zagreb and bringing the Moroccan and Croatian peoples closer together.

On the diplomatic front, Mileta highlighted that both countries have worked seriously and dedicatedly to enhance bilateral cooperation and achieve tangible progress, particularly following the joint declaration on the Moroccan Sahara issued in April 2025. She reaffirmed Croatia’s support for Morocco’s autonomy initiative, describing it as the best solution to the long-standing dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The ambassador also emphasized that Morocco and Croatia share similar positions on several international and economic issues, pointing to broad political convergence between the two nations.

In conclusion, the Croatian ambassador expressed gratitude to Morocco, King Mohammed VI, and the Kingdom’s institutions for what she described as a “wonderful stay” during her diplomatic mission. She also revealed that her tenure may come to an end within the next year or two, following what she called a rich and rewarding experience.
