China’s Ambassador to Rabat: “Our films are a window into our history & the Chinese Film Week supports cultural cooperation between the two countries”

Chinese Film Week was launched at the Renaissance Cinema in Rabat, organized by the Chinese Cultural Center in Rabat from April 29 to May 4, in partnership with the China Film Archive.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Rabat, Yu Jinsong, who stated in an interview with the “ALDAR” website that cinema is an art capable of bringing together cultures and languages.

She emphasized that Chinese Film Week serves as an important platform for exchange, dialogue, and rapprochement between peoples.

The ambassador added that this event offers the Moroccan public the opportunity to closely discover aspects of daily life in China, explore its history, and highlight the experiences of Chinese people in their pursuit of achieving their dreams.

She also expressed her hope that this initiative will help strengthen bilateral cooperation in the audiovisual production sector, develop talent training programs, and support and promote cultural industries in both countries in the coming years.

It is worth noting that this cultural event is part of the executive program for cultural cooperation between Morocco and China for the 2024–2028 period, which aims to enhance cultural exchange and strengthen ties in the fields of artistic and cinematic creation.
