Field visit by the Chinese Ambassador to Agadir to assess progress in joint fisheries projects

As part of efforts to monitor the level of bilateral cooperation in the fisheries sector, China’s Ambassador to Morocco, Yu Jinsong, carried out a field visit to the Sino-Moroccan fishing company in Agadir.
The visit included a tour of the company’s facilities to examine the nature of joint activities conducted by both sides.
The ambassador also boarded fishing vessels docked at the port of Agadir to directly observe the fleet, the equipment used within the joint project, as well as the working conditions and maritime operations carried out in Moroccan territorial waters.
In the same context, the ambassador held discussions with representatives from both the Moroccan and Chinese sides on prospects for strengthening the partnership in this strategic sector, stressing the importance of such cooperation in boosting investment, exchanging expertise, and supporting sustainable maritime development for the benefit of both nations.
