Recalling the long-standing relation between the two countries, mainly founded on cultural and religious ties, Niang welcomed the different cooperation agreements signed between Rabat and Dakar, adding that this multidimensional cooperation is consistently developing to serve the interests of both states.
“Today, this cooperation has a rich framework. For Senegal, it is one of the world’s strongest cooperation frameworks,” he said.
Describing Morocco as a “reliable partner,” the head of Senegalese diplomacy said that it is our duty to further develop these privileged ties.
Speaking on the Royal Initiatives for development in Africa, mainly the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline which aims to ensure genuine prosperity for the whole Continent, Niang expressed his country’s commitment to contributing to the success of this megaproject, which he described as “an instrument for African sovereignty.”
