Marrakech.. Meeting on the Comprehensive Military Cooperation Plan between Morocco and the United States

As part of strengthening military cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America, the city of Marrakech hosted the annual meeting for reviewing the management of security and financial assistance (SAMR/FMR) from February 17 to 21, 2025. This meeting is an important component of the strategic partnership between the two countries, aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in military and security fields, with a focus on improving the effectiveness of using security and financial aid.
During the event, discussions were held on ways to enhance joint coordination in various defense and security-related areas, including updating military intervention strategies and exchanging experiences between the two parties. Several key topics were addressed to develop Morocco’s defense capabilities and strengthen its pivotal role in maintaining regional and international security.
In addition, the meeting included a review of existing cooperation projects between the Moroccan and U.S. armed forces, with plans made for future support to stabilize the region. There were also discussions on improving joint training mechanisms and providing logistical and financial support to enable military forces to effectively address the growing security challenges.
