Strengthening Military Cooperation Between Morocco and Saudi Arabia: Ongoing Efforts to Exchange Expertise in Defense and Training

the Military History Directorate of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces hosted a delegation of faculty members from the Saudi Armed Forces Staff College. This meeting marked a new turning point in the military relations between the two brotherly countries. During the visit, expertise and knowledge were exchanged in various military fields of mutual interest.

This visit is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Saudi Arabia in defense and military training. Discussions focused on developing mechanisms for joint cooperation and deepening coordination between the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and their Saudi counterparts, through the organization of joint exercises and sharing of military training expertise and war history.

The visit provided the Saudi delegation an opportunity to observe some of the prominent aspects of military training in Morocco, as well as to familiarize themselves with the modern curricula used in Moroccan military academies. The visit also emphasized strengthening the bonds between military officers of the two countries and exchanging ideas and opinions regarding current security challenges in the region, including addressing transnational threats and regional security challenges.

In this context, both the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aim to develop military cooperation in line with regional and international changes. Through this strategic relationship, the two countries aim to enhance their defensive readiness to face any emerging threats, particularly in light of the volatile conditions in the Middle East and North Africa region.
