L’Boulevard Unveils Lineup for 21st Edition Scheduled for Sept. 15-24
The festival will run from September 15-24 and will feature performances by 39 groups, including 5 international acts such as Mali’s Tinariwen, renowned Tuareg blues masters, and Poland’s Death Metal band Decapitated. Also, on the line-up are Algerian gnawa rock band Djmawi Africa, French-Algerian rapper Tif, and Palestinian artist Rasha Nahas.
Moroccan artists are also a must-see. Ganga Vibes is headlining with a comeback to the music scene, along with rapper Shobee and bands Chikno, Old School, DJ Zulu Nawfel, Minerva, DIIB, Lazywall, Thrillogy, The Leila, Meteor Airlines, among others.
As always, L’Boulevard is providing emerging artists with the opportunity to display their talents through the Tremplin competition. This competition presents a preliminary selection of groups and artists, decided by a jury of musicians and professionals in the music industry.
Additionally, this year’s festival will feature the “Souk”, a market that will run concurrently with the musical performances. The 21st edition of L’Boulevard will have over thirty stands and exhibitors hosted at the Souk.
In addition, the 21st edition of L’Boulevard will have awareness-raising activities. These include “Souk Rassek”, a program in partnership with the 4S association team, promoting mediation and awareness about gender-based violence, as well as educational visits and training courses.
During the conference, the organizers emphasized the need to strengthen festival security. “We worked hard this year to strengthen the festival’s security. For this purpose, we held coordination and preparation meetings with relevant authorities,” said festival co-founder Mohamed Merhari.
