Enemies of the Nation Circulate a New Fake Document | When Algeria’s Propaganda Machine Fails to Mimic Moroccan Diplomacy

Aldar / Analysis

In yet another wave of disinformation campaigns targeting Morocco and its institutions, a suspicious document has been circulating on social media. The document is falsely attributed to the “Moroccan Liaison Office in Tel Aviv” and is labeled as “secret,” containing fabricated claims about the alleged death of Moroccan officers at an Israeli military base following an Iranian airstrike.

The document, clumsily formatted and riddled with blatant linguistic and administrative errors, claims to be addressed to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and lists the names of “Moroccan officers” said to have been killed or injured while participating in a joint military training program with the Israeli army.

In reality, this is a fabricated piece of disinformation with a clear propagandist agenda that bears no connection to actual events.

What is particularly suspicious is not only the content of this forged document, but also the timing of its release — an obvious attempt to link Morocco to regional tensions in which it plays no role, especially the ongoing conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv. It is a desperate and transparent effort to drag Morocco into a geopolitical game that doesn’t concern it.

What’s more, the writing style and structure of the document are far removed from the official format of Moroccan diplomatic correspondence. From the language used to the placement of stamps and the layout of the text, everything points to a poorly executed forgery that only highlights the amateurism of its creators.

This document is entirely baseless and represents a feeble attempt to implicate Morocco in fabricated scenarios — both politically and militarily.

This propaganda stunt comes amid a broader intensification of media attacks led by actors well known for their hostility toward Morocco’s territorial integrity — chief among them the Algerian regime, which never misses an opportunity to exploit regional conflicts to spin false narratives for its own political purposes.

The spread of such fake news ultimately harms only its promoters. It exposes the weakness of their psychological warfare tools — unable even to convincingly mimic a single official document — and further reveals the bankruptcy of their agenda and the growing desperation behind their actions.
