Chinese Ambassador: 2026, an important milestone in Morocco-China relations

Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Yu Jinsong said, on the sidelines of the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, held on Thursday evening, September 17, at the Congress Palace in Salé, that 2026 represents an “important and memorable” milestone in relations between China and Morocco. She noted that the two countries celebrated, during the first half of the year, the 10th anniversary of the establishment of their strategic partnership, while they are preparing to mark the 68th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The ambassador highlighted that China and Morocco “always treat each other with mutual respect, on an equal footing and in a spirit of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation,” considering that the two countries have set an example of cooperation and the exchange of experiences between countries with different social systems and different sizes.
In her address, Yu Jinsong stressed that “China and Morocco trust and support each other,” noting the continuation of high-level exchanges between the two countries over the past year, including exchanges of letters between Chinese President Xi Jinping and His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as regular visits and meetings between officials in the fields of foreign affairs, industry and trade, energy and investment, in addition to parliamentary and political party leaders.
