Algeria Describes France’s Decisions as “Dirty,” but the Algerian Regime Deletes the Word in the French Version of the Foreign Ministry Statement

ALDAR/

Algeria has described France’s recent decisions against its citizens as “dirty.” However, it is noteworthy that this word was removed from the French version of the official statement issued by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This comes in response to France imposing restrictions on the entry of Algerian officials holding special passports that exempt them from visas, which Algeria considers a blatant violation of the bilateral agreements signed between the two countries.

Algeria expressed its shock at these measures, emphasizing that it had not been informed in advance, despite the Algerian-French agreement explicitly stipulating visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

The Algerian government also asserted that it would not remain silent in the face of what it described as “hostile policies” that repeatedly target the country, warning that any harm to its interests would be met with similar retaliatory measures.

Furthermore, Algeria believes that these French policies are not merely technical measures but rather part of a “campaign of restriction and political pressure” led by certain extremist factions within the French political scene.

France is also preparing to impose new, severe sanctions on the Algerian regime, its senior officials, and their assets deposited in French banks, due to what the French Minister of the Interior described as blackmail exerted by the Algerian regime on Paris.
