New Chinese White Paper Defines Beijing’s Policy Directions on Peace and Disarmament

The Media Office of China’s State Council has issued a new white paper titled “China’s Position on Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation in the New Era,” highlighting China’s vision of its role in enhancing global security.

The document presents Beijing’s key positions and ongoing efforts in arms control, as well as its support for initiatives aimed at promoting international stability.

The white paper reaffirms that China remains a builder of global peace and a key contributor to global development, while renewing its commitment to defending the international system based on multilateralism and cooperation. It also outlines the initiatives China has introduced in recent years to strengthen arms control and prevent weapons proliferation.

Furthermore, the white paper addresses emerging security fields such as outer space, cyberspace, and artificial intelligence, stressing the need for international cooperation to confront new challenges. It also calls on countries around the world to work together to enhance the global arms control system and safeguard world peace.
