Morocco continues to consolidate its status as an advanced military power in the region, after the Royal Armed Forces successfully tested an EXTRA guided missile in the east of the Kingdom. The missile, a high-precision 306 mm system with a 120-kilogram warhead, is capable of striking targets at a range of 150 kilometers. This achievement reflects not only the accuracy of the adopted technology, but also Morocco’s operational readiness in integrating advanced systems that reinforce its strategic resilience.
The PULS launcher, recently acquired by the Moroccan army, is considered one of the cornerstones of this superiority. It is a versatile platform capable of firing different types of missiles, including the long-range Predator Hawk, which can reach up to 300 kilometers. These capabilities grant Morocco a dual advantage: delivering precise and rapid strikes against any potential threat, while expanding its deterrence range beyond its immediate borders.
While some of Morocco’s regional rivals remain focused on conventional armament policies without significant qualitative upgrades, the Kingdom demonstrates its shift toward a balanced military doctrine built on technology and operational effectiveness, rather than mere numbers. This strategic orientation provides Rabat with a clear advantage in the regional military balance, especially since recent missile tests have proven both the precision of strikes and the effectiveness of warheads, boosting the army’s confidence in its capabilities.
This breakthrough does not stop at rocket artillery; it is integrated into a broad modernization program that also covers the air force, with advanced F-16 fighter jets and combat drones, as well as the navy, equipped with modern frigates capable of coastal surveillance and security. Together, these assets make the Royal Armed Forces a multi-dimensional power, fully capable of addressing regional challenges with high efficiency.
Morocco’s success in integrating these modern systems sends a clear message: the Kingdom is not merely defending its territory, but now possesses the means to impose strategic deterrence against any threat, reinforcing its status as a regional power to be reckoned with.
