On the occasion of the 8th session of the Morocco–Russia Intergovernmental Joint Commission, co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, Moscow commended the Royal Initiatives aimed at strengthening stability and promoting development across Africa

Speaking on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, Russia’s Ambassador to Morocco underlined that his country, “bound to the Kingdom of Morocco by a deepened strategic Partnership, attaches great attention to the Royal Initiatives, which offer many opportunities for cooperation and partnership with Morocco.”
He added that “Russia considers that the initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI are likely to contribute to enhancing stability, security, and sustainable development across the African continent.”
These initiatives reflect Morocco’s steadfast commitment, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to the development of Africa through a human-centered approach and South–South cooperation based on solidarity, efficiency, and shared benefits.
The African Atlantic States Process, launched at the Sovereign’s initiative, aims to make the Atlantic façade a space of economic integration, social prosperity, and appeal for foreign investment.
Similarly, the Royal Initiative to enable Atlantic ocean access to Sahel States seeks to establish a new model of regional cooperation through the development of roads, ports, basic infrastructure, and integrated logistics services.
In the same spirit of solidarity and shared prosperity, the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline Project stands as a strategic energy interconnection corridor and a key driver of new geoeconomic opportunities for West Africa.
