In a moment that encapsulates the essence of loyalty and unwavering commitment, Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces — encompassing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Royal Gendarmerie — have reaffirmed their absolute allegiance and sincere pledge of loyalty to King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. This comes on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of His Majesty’s ascension to the throne.
This cherished national occasion was far from routine within the military institution. It served as a powerful moment to reinforce the forces’ constant readiness and full mobilization to defend the homeland, preserve its territorial integrity, and safeguard its security and stability — all under the Alawite banner and the leadership of a sovereign who has consistently steered the military toward modernization, openness, and professionalism.
Officers and soldiers from all ranks and divisions expressed pride in belonging to an institution founded on the values of sacrifice and discipline. They emphasized that the pledge of allegiance to the King is not merely a constitutional or ceremonial tradition, but a lifelong commitment — a solemn vow to serve the nation and its people.
In the message of allegiance addressed to His Majesty, the Armed Forces declared:
“Your Majesty, our covenant with you is unwavering and enduring, our loyalty firm and unshakable… May God protect you and bless your steps, and may you always remain the guardian and refuge of this cherished nation and its loyal people.”
This message reflects not only the deep respect that the Armed Forces have for the King, but also their full engagement in all efforts that contribute to the Kingdom’s security — whether in defending borders, participating in international peacekeeping missions, or managing domestic crises and natural disasters.
Year after year, the Royal Armed Forces reaffirm that their allegiance to the King is far more than symbolic. It is a living embodiment of the unity between the Throne and the people, a testament to sincere patriotism, and a pledge of enduring readiness in the service of a secure, united, and steadfast Morocco.
