King Mohammed VI Affirms Morocco’s Full Solidarity with Qatar, Condemns Iranian Attack on Al-Udeid Air Base

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, received a phone call from His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, during which the Moroccan monarch expressed his country’s full support for Qatar in light of recent developments.

During the call, King Mohammed VI strongly condemned the Iranian attack on Al-Udeid Air Base, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, as well as a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Moroccan sovereign stressed that such acts pose a serious threat to the security and stability of both Qatar and the wider region. He called for the upholding of state sovereignty and the avoidance of any escalation that could further inflame tensions in the region.

King Mohammed VI also emphasized the importance of restraint and wisdom, advocating for diplomatic solutions as the only viable path to prevent the situation from deteriorating further and to ensure lasting peace and stability across the Gulf and the Arab world.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Moroccan monarch for his noble stance and heartfelt solidarity. He praised the strength of the longstanding relations between the two nations and peoples, affirming that Morocco’s support reflects the depth of the strategic partnership that binds Rabat and Doha.
