Nadia Fettah Named Best African Finance Minister of 2025: Morocco Strengthens Its Continental Leadership

Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, has been awarded the title of Best African Finance Minister of 2025 during the prestigious African Banker Awards, which celebrate the most outstanding leaders and financial institutions across the continent.
This recognition stands as a global testament to Fettah’s efforts in promoting economic stability and implementing structural reforms that have advanced Morocco’s sustainable development agenda. On this occasion, the minister emphasized that the Kingdom, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, continues to align its national development priorities with Africa’s broader vision, notably the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the African Development Bank’s “High 5” program.
In the same context, Minister Fettah highlighted that Morocco, as a founding member of the African Development Bank, was among the first countries to benefit from the institution’s support. Today, it stands as one of its leading partners, with over 150 financed projects across various sectors.
This accolade further reinforces Morocco’s image as a model for economic governance and regional integration in Africa, reaffirming its commitment to playing a leading role in shaping a shared and prosperous future for the continent.
