A diplomatic delegation comprising representatives from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and Chad expressed their great admiration for the developmental momentum in the Dakhla–Oued Ed-Dahab region, as well as the broader dynamism observed across Morocco’s southern provinces, during a visit to the city of Dakhla on Wednesday.
In press statements following their meetings with Abdelrazak El Kourji, Secretary General of the Dakhla–Oued Ed-Dahab region, and Moulay Boutaleb El Moubarki, Vice President of the Regional Council, along with several local elected officials, the African officials praised the future potential of the Royal Atlantic Initiative for the benefit of Sahel countries.
Mbodo Said, Director General of Administrative Affairs at Chad’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that the Dakhla Atlantic Port project represents a strategic gateway for landlocked African nations. He noted that this major undertaking is poised to play a key role in revitalizing the Sahel region’s economy, strengthening South-South cooperation, and establishing a shared development path that benefits the entire African continent.
