As part of the ongoing efforts to rebuild areas affected by the earthquake that struck the Al-Haouz region, a high-level delegation from the Ministry of the Interior visited the area to monitor the progress of reconstruction works and to assess the issues faced by residents in these areas.
This visit is part of the government’s plan for a rapid response to the region’s needs and to restore normalcy after the disaster, which has cast a shadow over the local population.
During the visit, the delegation toured several villages and areas that were severely affected by the earthquake. They met with local officials and residents to listen to their concerns and the challenges they face in dealing with the aftermath of the disaster. Special attention was given to the progress of infrastructure projects, such as the reconstruction of damaged homes, the provision of humanitarian aid, and the establishment of facilities to ensure the stability of daily life for the residents.
In this regard, officials emphasized the need to speed up the pace of work to meet the needs of citizens living in difficult conditions. New plans were also presented to address identified issues, such as delays in the construction of some houses or the shortage of essential materials that are hindering the reconstruction process.
On the other hand, the delegation indicated that the government is working on allocating additional funds to support infrastructure projects, while ensuring support is provided in various forms. It was also emphasized that coordination between different government agencies and civil society is crucial to achieving tangible and swift results that serve the interests of the affected population.
