Akhannouch Holds Talks with Prime Minister of St. Vicent and the Grenadines
These talks, which took place in the presence of the Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation, as well as between Morocco and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), which will open a consulate in Dakhla in March 2022 to represent its six member countries.
The two sides discussed prospects for strengthening political consultations within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in March 2015, as well as the implementation of action plans for sectoral cooperation, which were reviewed during visits by Moroccan missions to the Caribbean region, according to a press release from the head of government’s office.
During these talks, Akhannouch stressed Morocco’s constant willingness, under the wise leadership of HM the King, to increase its openness towards its partners in the different regions of the world, including the Caribbean countries, with which Morocco maintains relations of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect, and which offer significant opportunities for economic and cultural exchanges, as well as for opening up to the Caribbean and the American continent on the one hand, and the African continent on the other.
On this occasion, the two sides reviewed the components of the new Roadmap for Bilateral Cooperation 2023-2025, which includes cooperation and technical assistance programs covering numerous areas of economic and social development, such as higher education, vocational training, health, marine fisheries, agriculture, renewable energy and others.
