Royal Navy Rescues 127 Migrants at Sea

In perfect coordination between maritime surveillance radar stations and maritime units on patrol in the Mediterranean Sea, the Coast Guards of the Royal Navy rescued, Saturday morning, 127 candidates for irregular migration, mostly from sub-Saharan Africa, including 14 women and two minors, according to a military source.

The migrants were on board makeshift inflatable boats, the source said.

The rescued people were taken care of by units of the Royal Navy before being brought back safe and sound to various ports in the Kingdom and handed over to the Gendarmerie Royale for the usual procedures.
