Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Reaffirm Their Support for Morocco’s Sovereignty over the Sahara

The stance was expressed in a joint communiqué signed by Bramble and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, following talks held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In the communiqué, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines reiterated their “full support for Morocco’s autonomy plan as the only credible, serious and realistic solution,” and welcomed “the growing international consensus and the momentum driven by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in support of this autonomy plan.”

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines also welcomed “the historic adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2797 on October 31, 2025, establishing genuine autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty as the only viable solution to the artificial dispute over the Sahara.”

Mr. Bramble praised “His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s vision of South-South cooperation based on effectiveness, solidarity and pragmatism,” saying that “this Royal vision strengthens stability and security in the Caribbean region through concrete socioeconomic projects.”

The two sides also expressed “deep satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations between the two countries,” reaffirming “their firm commitment to further strengthening cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, for the benefit of both governments and peoples.”
