Chinese Companies Showcase Strong Presence at Meknes International Agriculture Fair as Ambassador Reaffirms Deeper Agricultural Cooperation with Morocco

Chinese participation stood out prominently at the 18th edition of the Meknes International Agriculture Fair, with several specialized Chinese companies taking part in the event. The strong presence reflects Beijing’s growing interest in the Moroccan market and its ambition to expand agricultural and development cooperation with the Kingdom.
As part of the event, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, Yu Jinsong, toured the exhibition grounds, visiting various stands and meeting representatives of Chinese companies attending this major international economic gathering.
In a statement to ALDAR, the ambassador said the Meknes International Agriculture Fair is among the most important specialized agricultural events in Africa and worldwide. She noted that this year’s theme is closely aligned with current global challenges related to food security, sustainability, and the modernization of the agricultural sector.
Ambassador Yu also praised the high level of organization of the event, stressing that agriculture remains a key pillar of economic and social development in both China and Morocco, given its vital role in driving growth and creating jobs.
She underlined that agricultural cooperation is one of the key pillars of bilateral relations between Rabat and Beijing, adding that China places great importance on modernizing agriculture and promoting sustainable development in the sector.
The ambassador further reaffirmed China’s readiness to continue working closely with Morocco to support the development of modern agriculture, strengthen food security, and help reduce poverty through the exchange of expertise, technology, and investment.
She concluded by saying that the participation of several Chinese companies in this year’s edition of the fair reflects the shared determination of both countries to deepen ongoing cooperation and open new horizons for partnership in the agricultural and economic fields.
