Mission No. 611: China continues to strengthen its space fleet with the launch of a new satellite

China launched a new satellite on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from the Wenchang Space Launch Center located in Hainan Province in the south of the country.
The launch comes as part of China’s ongoing efforts to enhance its presence in the space sector and further develop its aerospace technologies.

Chinese authorities reported that the “Shijian-28” satellite was sent at 8:20 p.m., Beijing time, aboard a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket, successfully entering its predetermined orbit shortly thereafter.
This launch marks the 611th mission of the Long March rocket series, highlighting the continuity of China’s space program and the growing pace of its operations in recent years.
