The Lakhdar R’dad Hall in Temara hosted, on Saturday, November 30, the opening of the fourth edition of the “Ambassador’s Cup” in Wushu Kung Fu, organized by the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation in partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
The opening day witnessed the distinguished presence of China’s Ambassador to Morocco, Yu JinSong, along with the representative of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in Temara, and the President of the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation, Abderrahmane Sennaghi.
This year’s edition stood out for its rigorous organization in both security and artistic aspects, as part of the celebration marking the 67th anniversary of Moroccan-Chinese diplomatic relations, reflecting the deep ties between the two friendly nations.
The opening ceremony featured impressive Wushu performances delivered by talented youth and children, who showcased their skills before the ambassador. The shows included acrobatic routines and remarkable Kung Fu demonstrations, creating an energetic atmosphere that captivated the audience.
In her opening speech, Ambassador Yu JinSong praised the strong historical and diplomatic relations between China and Morocco, highlighting the crucial role of sports in promoting peace, friendship, and solidarity among peoples.
She emphasized that Chinese and Moroccan Wushu serve as a cultural bridge that strengthens cooperation across various fields.
