Morocco and Paraguay have reached a new milestone in their cooperation by adopting a Joint Communiqué aimed at structuring and accelerating the implementation of common projects.

During the working visit to Rabat of Paraguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, and his meeting with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, the two sides agreed to intensify their cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, logistics, agriculture, air transport, and tourism.
Both countries aim to build a sustainable Atlantic economic partnership, based on the complementarity of their strengths: Morocco as an African industrial and logistics hub, and Paraguay as a major player in agro-industry and hydroelectricity in South America.
The two ministers also agreed to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and MERCOSUR, in order to promote a balanced and solidary partnership across the South Atlantic.
Bourita praised the economic vision of President Santiago Peña, focused on social justice and productive modernization, while Ramírez Lezcano highlighted the scope of the major African initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, notably the African Atlantic States Process, the Initiative to Facilitate Sahelian States’ Access to the Atlantic Ocean, and the Atlantic African Gas Pipeline, regarded as major integrative projects serving shared prosperity.
