From the UAE to the World: A Passport Unlocking 184 Visa-Free Destinations

The UAE passport continues to solidify its position on the global stage as one of the most powerful and influential passports, serving as a direct reflection of the country’s diplomatic achievements and its ability to enhance its international presence. Today, the UAE passport stands as the strongest in the Arab region and ranks among the top ten passports worldwide, highlighting the international confidence in the UAE and its citizens.
According to the Henley Passport Index, the UAE passport ranks eighth globally, allowing its holders to enter 184 countries either visa-free or by obtaining a visa on arrival. This clearly demonstrates the diplomatic strength that provides Emirati citizens with greater freedom and flexibility in international travel.
The UAE passport is also undergoing continuous improvements in terms of services. It can now be renewed up to a year before its expiration date, compared to the previous six months, facilitating better planning for travel and official procedures. The passport is valid for ten years for those over 21 years old and five years for younger holders, with renewal services available through UAE embassies and consulates worldwide.
The new passport edition represents a technological and security leap, being printed on durable polycarbonate material instead of paper and featuring laser technologies and 3D elements that prevent forgery while enhancing printing speed and efficiency. These features underscore the UAE’s commitment to innovation in citizen services, ensuring the highest standards of security and efficiency, and making international mobility for its citizens a true reflection of the nation’s global strength and reputation.
