In coordination with Mali… A precise Moroccan intelligence operation frees 4 Moroccan citizens from the clutches of terrorism in the Sahel

In a high-level, silent operation marked by professionalism, Morocco’s General Directorate for Studies and Documentation (DGED), in close coordination with Mali’s National Security Agency, successfully freed four Moroccan professional drivers who had been kidnapped by an extremist terrorist group known as “Kababiya,” affiliated with the so-called ISIS in the Sahel region.
This joint security operation stands as a model of the effectiveness of Moroccan-Malian intelligence cooperation and a concrete reflection of Morocco’s leading role in the fight against terrorism and cross-border extremism in Africa.
Once again, Morocco’s intelligence agents—often referred to as “the men of the shadows”—prove to be a solid shield for the protection of Moroccan citizens, both at home and abroad, through precise and effective actions that yield decisive results without fanfare.
