At the close of its 51st session… the Organization of Islamic Cooperation praises HM King Mohammed VI’s efforts in defending Al-Quds.

The 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held on June 21 and 22 in Istanbul, praised the ongoing efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to protect the Islamic holy sites in the city of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
In its resolution regarding “the capital of the State of Palestine, Al-Quds Al-Sharif”, the Council highlighted the key role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, the executive arm of the Committee, through the implementation of several development projects that support the residents of the city and strengthen their resilience.
The “Istanbul Declaration” also commended the initiatives of the Al-Quds Committee, under the leadership of HM the King, and its executive agency, in preserving the spiritual and historical identity of the holy city as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence among the three monotheistic religions, and in safeguarding its legal status.
The session concluded on Sunday, June 22, in Istanbul, with the adoption of the “Istanbul Declaration” and a set of resolutions addressing political, economic, and cultural issues concerning the Islamic world.
