On May 2, 2025, the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) held an official ceremony at the Force Headquarters in the capital, Bangui, to honor the memory of First-Class Moroccan soldier Ashraf Boukaddama, who passed away while fulfilling his duties as part of the Moroccan contingent deployed in the peacekeeping mission.

The tribute served as an expression of gratitude for the late soldier’s dedication to his mission under the UN flag, and in recognition of his sacrifices in support of security and stability in the Central African Republic — a country still grappling with ongoing security and humanitarian challenges.

The ceremony was attended by several UN and military officials, as well as members of the Moroccan forces. Eulogies were delivered during the event, highlighting the noble qualities of the deceased and his distinguished service within the mission’s ranks.
