France Imposes Entry Restrictions on 112 Algerian Officials

ALDAR /
Sources have revealed that the French authorities have sent Algeria a list of 112 Algerian government and diplomatic officials who have been banned from entering French territory.
According to the same sources, this decision comes as part of punitive measures taken by Paris against the Algerian government in response to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s refusal to repatriate several of his nationals who have been issued deportation orders from France (OQTF).
This development reflects escalating tensions between the two countries, as France continues to pressure Algeria to cooperate on the issue of irregular migration—an ongoing point of contention between the two sides.
This move is expected to further complicate bilateral relations, especially in light of previous diplomatic tensions between Paris and Algiers over historical and political issues.
