Crans Montana Forum Resumes its Activities in Dakhla
The Crans Montana Forum of Dakhla will resume its activities on June 22 with a virtual conference on African women, the organizers said Saturday.
“African women and post-covid resilience”, with a focus on Morocco will be the theme of this conference which will mark the return of the Crans Montana Forum in Dakhla after a break imposed by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
“Just before the outbreak of the pandemic, the last event organized by the Crans Montana Forum and its African Women’s Forum had as its theme the African woman, bearer of universal values. As we renew our activities, the oldest of which date back to 35 years ago, the theme of the next conference and the first of the post-Covid era will also be dedicated to African women”, wrote the Crans Montana Forum’s founding chairman, Ambassador Jean Paul Carteron in a statement.
“Always the woman because in the societal life of the African continent, she plays more than ever an essential role, stabilizing, creative and dynamic, “he explained.
The Forum also announced its program for 2022 with four main themes, namely “Creating ecosystems conducive to innovation” (March-22), “Towards sustainable exploitation of Africa’s energy potential” (May-June-22), “Towards sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources” (September-22) and “Towards expanded access to public health” (November-22).
Created in 1986, the Crans Montana Forum is an international non-governmental organization whose primary goal is to contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation by promoting best practices and allowing a permanent dialogue between decision makers from the public and private sectors.
