Royal Air Maroc Sets up Special Arrangements for WB and IMF Annual Meetings

This mechanism, which has mobilized significant human and material resources, mainly involves a large-scale mobilization of RAM’s operational teams at Marrakech and Casablanca airports and the main international transit hubs, as well as a promotional fare offer for participants, says the company in a statement.

“By initiating this exceptional program, Royal Air Maroc, the Kingdom’s standard-bearer, intends to contribute to the success of this global event, where the gotha of world finance, leading personalities and top executives are expected. Through its action plan, Royal Air Maroc reiterates its commitment to promoting Morocco internationally and its involvement in the country’s major projects, including the organization of world-class events,” said RAM CEO Hamid Addou, quoted in the statement.

10,000 additional seats

In terms of offer and capacity, Royal Air Maroc is offering 18,000 seats on departure from the countries taking part in this major event, including 10,000 additional seats.

Some 5,268 seats will be made available to the American market.

In addition, three direct flights will be operated for the first time by Royal Air Maroc from Washington to Marrakech on October 4, 6 and 8, 2023.

This exceptional flight program also includes increased frequencies on the Paris-Marrakech (3 flights a day), Marrakech-Marseille (3 flights a week) and Marrakech-Brussels (2 flights a week) routes, in addition to other flights via Casablanca covering issuing countries in Europe, North America, Africa and the Middle East.

A special promotional fare is also available for participants in the 2023 Annual Meetings of the WB and IMF, in economy or business class. Tickets are available from Royal Air Maroc agencies, for travel dates between September 25 and October 30, 2023.

To benefit from this offer, participants should go to a RAM branch with proof of their registration for the event.

Strengthening ground operations

Royal Air Maroc’s unprecedented plan also includes a reinforcement of ground operations thanks to the mobilization of the Company’s operational teams, in Morocco and abroad.

A special customer pathway will be set up at departure and arrival points in New York, Washington, Paris (Orly and Charles de Gaule airports), Casablanca and Marrakech. Dedicated check-in counters will be set up, with displays on the screens, in addition to specific signage at the counters.

To simplify travel for participants at the 2023 Annual Meetings, personalized luggage “tags” have been designed, in addition to stickers to affix to boarding passes.

RAM is also reinforcing its material and human resources at Marrakech international airport and in Washington, New York, Paris, Brussels and Doha, which represent the main transit hubs for participants in this event.

The aim is to provide efficient support for participants throughout their travel, from check-in to arrival. Shuttle systems will also be reinforced at the Casablanca and Marrakech hubs.

In line with its development plan, Royal Air Maroc is fully committed to fulfilling its role as a key player in Moroccan tourism, particularly business tourism, and to accelerating its transition to the status of global carrier for the benefit of the country, its economy and its promotion, the statement concluded.
