Light Rain and Cooler Temperatures Mark the Start of September in Morocco: Is Autumn Arriving Early?

With the beginning of September, several Moroccan cities and regions have started experiencing a noticeable change in weather conditions, marked by a relative drop in temperatures during the night and early morning, along with the appearance of fog banks and low clouds. Other areas have recorded light to moderate rainfall.
Casablanca was among the areas that experienced relatively cool weather on the morning of September 1, accompanied by a few drops of rain, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of autumn and winter.
Over the past 24 hours, several regions across the Kingdom have recorded varying levels of rainfall, particularly in the Atlas and Oriental regions, including Ifrane, Azrou, Boulemane, Kalaat M’Gouna, Midelt and Aïn Leuh, amid localized weather disturbances.
In this context, the General Directorate of Meteorology issued weather bulletins forecasting thunderstorms and strong winds in several provinces, reflecting the persistence of unstable weather conditions in some parts of the country at the beginning of the month.
