The Chinese cultural center Yaji hosted, on Saturday at a hotel in the economic capital Casablanca, a cultural salon titled “Tea Unites the World”, as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening cultural cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People’s Republic of China.

The event served as a significant platform that brought together a group of personalities interested in promoting Chinese culture, both Moroccan and Chinese, reflecting the depth of the relations binding the two countries at various levels.

The program featured artistic and cultural performances dedicated to promoting tea culture and highlighting its role through a variety of artistic displays. Activities included classical Chinese dances, acrobatic shows blending colors, movement, and agility, as well as professional circus acts and demonstrations of Wushu martial arts.

A special session was also organized to introduce tea, its varieties, and the rituals of its preparation distinctive to China, illustrating the diversity of Chinese cultural and spiritual identity and the bridges it creates to enhance cultural and civilizational closeness between the two peoples.

In this context, the center’s executive director, Hu Yali, explained that the event presented participants with different ways of using tea, including medicinal and beverage-related uses, emphasizing that tea is not only a drink but also used for healing purposes.

She added that tea is one of the most prominent cultural symbols of the Chinese nation, and that Morocco and China both cherish this heritage, making tea a bridge that brings the two peoples closer and strengthens their bonds of friendship.
