As part of the intellectual conference series “Tribunes de Marrakech,” hosted by Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Li Changlin, delivered a keynote lecture titled: “Sino-Moroccan Relations in the New Era and Their Prospects for Development.”

During the session, the ambassador shed light on the renewed momentum characterizing the relationship between Rabat and Beijing. He emphasized that the strategic partnership between the two nations is steadily advancing toward broader horizons, driven by diversified cooperation spanning multiple sectors—including economy and investment, infrastructure, education, and cultural exchange.

Ambassador Li described the current phase as a pivotal moment in the course of Sino-Moroccan cooperation. What distinguishes this new era, he noted, is the variety of partnerships and their focus on long-term, development-oriented projects. He also praised the shared determination of both countries to deepen their ties in ways that serve the interests of their peoples and contribute to regional stability.

Beyond presenting the evolution of bilateral relations, the event served as a platform for interaction with the university community—students and faculty alike—who posed questions reflecting growing interest in China’s expanding role on the global stage and how Morocco can benefit from this dynamic.

On this occasion, Ambassador Li Changlin stressed the importance of continuing to embrace successful international experiences. He affirmed that Morocco, thanks to its strategic geographic position and developmental vision, remains a key partner within the framework of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
