In a Letter to Bourita… The Guinean Foreign Minister Praises Morocco’s Initiative to Support African Countries in Transition

The growing appreciation for Morocco’s diplomatic role on the African stage continues. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, received a congratulatory message from his Guinean counterpart, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, following the informal meeting of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council, chaired by Morocco on March 18, 2025.

In his message, the Guinean Foreign Minister expressed his satisfaction with the holding of this meeting, which aims to support African countries in transition. He emphasized that this initiative represents a tangible step forward in managing political transitions on the continent. He also praised Morocco’s ability to innovate and its diplomatic skills, reaffirming Guinea’s full commitment to cooperating for the success of this initiative.

It is worth noting that Morocco, through its presidency of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council, continues to solidify its position as a key player in promoting security and stability on the continent by offering constructive solutions and initiatives aimed at achieving development and peace in Africa.
