What’s Behind the Growing Interest of Algerians and Tunisians in Residing in Morocco?

Informed sources have revealed a significant rise in residency applications in Morocco from Algerian and Tunisian nationals, with a total of 80,558 applicants, including individuals holding dual citizenship.
Many of these applicants prefer to settle in major cities such as Marrakech, Casablanca, Agadir, and Tangier, attracted by the economic and living opportunities these cities offer. This increasing trend raises questions about how Moroccan authorities will handle these applications, particularly amid regional changes and challenges related to migration and residency policies.
Will Morocco grant residency permits to such a large number of applicants, or will it introduce new regulations and procedures to manage this process?
