Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa performs Umrah during his official visit to Saudi Arabia

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa performed the Umrah pilgrimage during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was seen in circulating footage entering the Holy Kaaba.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) published photos of al-Sharaa and his Foreign Minister, Assad al-Shaibani, in the Ihram garments while they were in Jeddah before heading to Mecca to perform the Umrah.

This marks the first visit of the Syrian president abroad since assuming the transitional presidency in Syria, and he began it with a visit to Saudi Arabia, reflecting efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries and cooperate in various fields.
